This cradle support moulding fits the standard apples 30 pin to Lightening converter. The support snaps and locks into place on the SoundDock Portable. The support holds the converter in place and protects the dock, the converter and most importantly, your Apple devices. To remove just pull hard forward and the locking clips release. This cradle support molding fits the standard Apple 30-pin to Lightning adaptor (MD823ZM/A) . The kit consists of the Invebo Thunder support plus a special adaptor that fits the SoundDock Original Series 1. The support holds the adaptor in place and protects the dock, the adaptor and most importantly, your Apple devices. Compatible with all Apple hand-held devices with lightning connector. Please note: The cradle is only available in black and is
NOT supplied with a 30-pin to lightning adaptor. These are easily sourced
elsewhere. All Apple and generic charg only adaptors fit in thd cradle.  If you
need  to stream audio via the Lightning connector then you need the genuine Apple version part no MD823AM/A

When your finger presses on the front of the docked device there is no support behind so it moves backwards causing strain and wear to the docking connector. The docking connector is presented higher increasing penetration improving successful docking of iPhones with a protective case fitted. The upgrade is simple to fit.
